Table tents were another fun ticketed request at Monsieur Touton, mostly because they offered a ton of creative freedom. These were provided as a promotional perk when restaurants ordered a specific volume of wine. The layouts were generally straightforward, highlighting one or two featured wines alongside their ratings and tasting notes, but the main design challenge was keeping the visual hierarchy clean so the piece didn’t clutter the dining experience.
My goal was always to make the collateral feel like a native extension of the restaurant. I’d pull design cues directly from their website or interior vibe to match their established aesthetic. If a venue didn’t have much existing branding to work with, I’d pivot and build the layout around the winery’s visual assets instead. It kept the workflow fresh and let me constantly shift my design style from one project to the next.
